Project Management for Florida Everglades Restoration Project
Subcontract thru Joint Venture of Parsons/PBSJ (EPJV): $335,000

This project has afforded AHA the opportunity to develop a strong working relationship with USACE - Jacksonville District. AHA provides professional services in the areas of program/project management, budgeting, scheduling, engineering, and technical design review, and other services as required.

AHA provides assistance with the development of various reports, performance of multi-disciplinary studies, cost benefits analyses, review of conceptual, preliminary, and detailed or final designs, and other similar project management services.

Current efforts include: the Picayune Strand Restoration project to restore the hydrology of an 85 square mile area
that was drained in 1960 for development and the Southwest Florida Feasibility Study designed to identify and evaluate water resources in Southwest Florida.

AHA's associate project manager to the EPJV provides support to the USACE in their Everglades restoration mission.
Specific tasks include:

Providing support in the development of project documents, including:

Biological assessments
Monitoring plans
Project transfer documents
Project implementation reports and others as needed

Coordinating the project team meetings
Providing project delivery team meeting support and documentation, including preparing agendas and read-ahead documents
Assisting the USACE project manager with project schedule development and updates.
Traveling to meetings and coordinating with the South Florida Water Management District and other agencies and stakeholders.
Providing project status updates to USACE and EPJV members.
